Financially intelligent parents use chores as a way to help their kids gain self-respect, take pride in a job well done and instill a work ethic. Chores are opportunities for kids to learn lessons about life. They are lessons that will ultimately help kids excel in whatever career they choose. They will learn early on that a job well done is its own reward, and that a parent's compliments or rewards are secondary benefits.
